Ninedots was founded in 2013 by Director Rebecca Hall to provide a platform of support for buyers looking to build a new home or investment property. Pioneering the concept of a Build Advocate, Ninedots helps clients navigate the often complex residential construction process with ease — allowing for an optimal build outcome.
It's a simple idea with a powerful effect: someone genuinely independent, standing beside you, translating the jargon, asking the hard questions and protecting your interests from the first plan to the final handover.

Rebecca is the heart and driving force behind Ninedots Build Advocates and the pioneer of Australia's first truly independent build advisory model, now expanded nationally through Build Advocates Australia. A Geelong-based expert in residential construction, she specialises in builder selection, property investment acquisition, and end-to-end support for new home projects — drawing on both her professional background and extensive personal new-build experience.
With over 20 years' experience across finance, real estate, construction and project management, Rebecca felt a real need for clearer, more accessible and truly independent support during the new-build journey. She set out to create a service that reduced the risk, made the process more enjoyable, and helped people build with confidence.
Passionate, thoughtful and results-driven, she has a knack for solving problems with creativity and clarity. Whether clients are unsure where to begin or facing challenges mid-build, she brings structure, insight and practical solutions that genuinely make a difference — and her market knowledge is sought after by homebuyers, downsizers and investors alike. She remains personally involved in every part of the Ninedots process, from first plans to final handover, while also leading the broader Build Advocates network nationally.
Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her husband Steve and three kids, exploring new places, discovering new food, and working creatively on personal construction projects. Her heart lies firmly with family and all things Ninedots — anyone who knows her knows she wouldn't have it any other way.

Steve is a seasoned Building Inspector with deep roots in the Victorian building scene. For over 10 years he has been managing new-home projects, bringing in-depth, practical knowledge and a reputation for excellence that makes him widely sought after for independent building inspections. He ensures builds are delivered to a high standard, completed on time, and handled with as little stress as possible.
Known for his calm, collaborative approach and strong working relationships with builders, supervisors and clients, Steve brings a sharp eye, solid technical knowledge and a solutions-focused mindset to every project. He helps clients feel informed and supported, while ensuring supervisors feel respected and engaged throughout the process.
Before earning his Advanced Diploma in Building and Surveying, Steve built a successful career in the automotive industry, owning his own workshop and leading service teams for Volkswagen and Honda. After building and renovating countless homes alongside his wife and Ninedots founder Rebecca, he officially joined the team to offer clients the same hands-on support they once needed themselves.
In his downtime, Steve lives and breathes basketball — he loves watching, coaching, collecting shoes and travelling to games, and even dreams of doing site visits in his LA Clippers jersey. The fact that Ninedots Build Advocates shares initials with the NBA is a lucky coincidence, but one Steve has fully embraced.

Often the first connection to the Ninedots team, Connie is a warm and valued team member who welcomes clients with care and professionalism.
With over 25 years of experience in customer service, sales and marketing, Connie brings a strong mix of expertise and dedication to her role. Her attention to detail and clear communication ensure clients feel supported and informed throughout their building journey.
As Build Support Administrator, Connie oversees the coordination of projects and client files, making each step of the process seamless and efficient.
Outside of work, Connie enjoys travelling, exploring great food, and sharing a good glass of wine with friends and family.
